Brooke White Makes American Idol Top 12!

The folksie girl with one of the most unique voices the show has ever had - Brooke White - secured her spot when American Idol's Top 12 was announced on this past week's episode which ended in an emotion-packed episode (or more like cryfest) and was full of more bizarre Paula behavior. The dramatic cuts slowly revealed the unlucky contestants that America didn't put through - Kady Malloy, Asiah Epperson, Luke Menard and Danny Noriega. It will be fun to see Brooke White continue to raise the bar for the competition and take chances.

Robbie Carrico, Alexandrea Lushington, Jason Yeager and Alaina Whitaker weren't so lucky last night and got the boot from over 30 million Americans that voted last night by calling in to the award winnning television show. I really don't think I' will miss any of them other than Jason Yeager's lucious booty! Alaina balling like a high school girl losing her spot for homecoming queen ALMOST made me feel bad for her. Lushington had a decent voice but was boring and Carrico's greasy, bandana-wrapped hair was a bit nauseating.

The talent this season is amazing and this competition is going to heat up next week. The lineup has a nice mix of styles from country, rock, pop and R&B so there is a wide range of viewers tuning in.

Garrett Haley, Amy Davis, Joanne Borgella and Colton Berry were eliminated by viewers who were able to call in and get a chance to vote in this season's episode of American Idol.

Haley sang a weak version of "Breaking up is Hard to Do", Davis failed to impress, Borgella shreaked out "I Say a Little Prayer" and Berry got on Simon's nerves with his cover of "Suspicious Minds". Simon told Berry in typical Simon-fashion to "Get a good job".

Brooke White, the girl with the whispy blonde hair and pure voice who auditioned in Philadelphia, is a strong contender on American Idol, season 7. White is 24 years old, grew up in Mesa, AZ and started singing in high school plays when she was fifteen. She attributes her musical influences to classics like James Taylor, Carole King, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Eagles, Stevie Wonder, Carly Simon, Bee Gees, Hall & Oats, Joni Mitchell and Bonnie Raitt.

White has no shortage of ambition with lofty goals like sharing her music with the world while raising a happy family! With such strong dreams, creativity, personal statements, stage presence and natural singing talent, Brooke has what it takes to make it far.
